(Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia)

The HILDA Survey in Austraila's largest and most comprehensive household survey, conducted by the Melbourne Institue of Applied Social and Economic Research at the University of Melbourne

HILDA has beed running 2001 and approximately 17, 000 Australian's are interviewed yearly to create a comprehensive picture of the nation, spanning topics that include household finances, employment, family life and health.

The survey data is available to researchers globally, accessible here.

The HILDA survey was initiated by the Austrailian Government through the department of Social Services.
